While the Ubuntu Panthers came up just short of bringing home the championship trophy, Skylar walked away with
something even bigger — a legacy.
Just three years ago, she picked up a basketball for the first time. Today, she has earned
71 college offers spanning NCAA Division I, II & III, NAIA, USCAA, NJCAA, PACWEST, CCCAA, NWAC,
as well as Canadian and European programs.
Her journey has inspired athletes across the DMV and proved that hard work, determination, and belief can take you
farther than anyone imagines.
Now, the next chapter begins as Skylar heads to the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky,
where new dreams, new challenges, and new victories await.
The DMV may have witnessed her final pre-college game, but college basketball is about to discover what we’ve known
all along...
